Pearl ( Hyper Snow)
In 2019 I embarked on a project to produce a Hyper Snow. In the collection we have a number of Snow lines the Golden and the white forms. There have been a number of morphs produced that are white, so using the Golden Snow lineage gave me the opportunity to produce a Hyper Snow that wasn’t all white or a very pale washed out form. I decided on pairing a range of Golden Snows which had not been proven, but had the possibility of containing the hyper gene in het form. One of the pairings was a Golden Snow het hyper to a proven 4 gene Platinum.
Since creating the Platinum morph I have always been interested to see the effects of it on other morphs. Putting it over an albino created the Calypso morph (lovely patternless cream), @bluetonguelizard put it with anery to produce the Mercury ( more silver version), and now I have successfully put it over a Golden Snow het hyper to I believe , produce the visual Hyper Snow with the hypo gene in het form as the Golden Snow female is only 3 gene. The Platinum male used has proven out to bea 4 gene Platinum, (hypo hyper het anery het albino). Welcome to the ‘Pearl Morph’ ( Hyper Snow ). When calculating the punnet square ratios the following, (if numbers in litter are large enough), would be;
1/8 hyper snow | 100% het hypo |
---|---|
1/8 Blackout | 100% het hypo |
100% het albino | |
1/8 Lava | 100% het anery |
100% het hypo | |
1/8 Snow | 100% het hyper |
100% het hypo | |
1/8 hyper | 100% het albino |
100% het anery | |
100% het hypo | |
1/8 anery | 100% het albino |
100% het hyper | |
100% het hypo | |
1/8 albino | 100% het anery |
